MEET YOUR POTTER, ERIN

The hands that make every piece of pottery here at Waugh Ceramics. My journey started in Leith around 4 years ago when my friend and I signed up to do some evening classes. We shared wine, got to use the creative side of our brains and ended up leaving with some wonky pots! I was hooked! A couple of courses (and years) later I found myself in Latvia in the dead of winter for a 1 month residential course with Laima Ceramics. I learnt alot and this is the catalyst that made me want to quit my career in property management and become a full time potter.

I now have my own studio in the barn behind my house where I make all my pots, still wonky and always unique. My inspirations vary widely, I'm still working on a signature style and constantly learning, which keeps my work exciting. Each piece has its own character and charm - which I guess sums up 'Waugh Ceramics'.
